​Swing to play, play to swing!



The Par 5 Golf Club of Bermuda was started in 1997 when a group of friends (founding members), decided to play a game of golf on a regular basis each week. They decided that a tournament abroad would be a fun way to enhance the club benefits and encourage others to join. This golf tour abroad has now been included in our calendar as an annual event.

 

No home golf course, no club house, no handicap? No problem.

 

The Par 5 Golf Club now operates as an established social club with over 80 members. We accept players and non-players as well as overseas players,  who may or may not be a member of another golf club, but who want to be a part of a club that gives back to the community and has fun playing golf doing it. We have regular benefit tournaments in order to raise funds for various charities. We have an executive committee, a constitution and an annual calendar of events. e.g. Monthly Medal and Club Championship  games, Fallen Heroes Tournament (honouring our past members), Bermuda Goodwill Golf  Tournament, CupMatch (Somerset vs St. George's) game and many others.

 

The Par 5 Club have managed to negotiate with all of the established golf clubs on the island of Bermuda in order to obtain reasonable rates for our members. Consequently, our competitions are held over all of the  local courses and thus provide our members with handicaps that rival all other clubs.

 

The Par 5 Club is a member of the Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) who are affiliated with the Golfers Handicap Information Network (GHIN) and through this network we are able to establish a valid Stroke Index (handicap) for our members. The GHIN system enables us to issue a GHIN  number and thereby allowing scores to be entered into the system online through their network. This system is accepted worldwide and is accessible from anywhere via the web.
